Shrine Of The Little Flower Church, Royal Oak, MI: The first photograph shows the removal of 60 years of grime to reveal the true colors of the saint. The second photograph shows the removal of the coatings that were put over the paintings as routine maintenance to protect them, but in fact caused extreme darkening and obstruction.
